Sarriguren (Navarre) 2007
Forming a team with Francisco Mangado, this office building, commissioned by Gamesa Eólica as its corporate headquarters, is configured as a huge excavated mineral, open in its interior to allow the gardens to invade the construction right up to its geometric centre.
The clearly defined exterior perimeter is in stark contrast to the irregular, open interior. The geometry of the building and its exterior design, with laminated glass containing a stainless steel mesh to produce reflections and mineral textures under the incidence of light, all highlight this idea of a mineral block, attractive in formal terms.
Iturralde y Sagüés planned and directed all the installations and was also responsible for the Project Management, co-ordinating all the parties involved in the construction of the building.
